Paglikha ng Kahulugan sa Katutubong Sining ng Mindanao: Isang Hermenyutikal na Pag-aaral sa Interpretasyon ng mga Mag-aaral

Sa kabila ng lumalawak na mga pag-aaral hinggil sa katutubong sining at interpretasyong biswal, nananatiling limitado ang mga pananaliksik na sumusuri sa proseso ng paglikha ng kahulugan batay sa Pilosopikal na Hermenyutika ni Hans-Georg Gadamer. Layunin ng pag-aaral na ito na masuri ang proseso ng paglikha ng kahulugan ng mga mag-aaral sa Batsilyer sa Sekundaryang Edukasyon Medyor sa Filipino sa kanilang pagpapakahulugan sa katutubong sining ng Mindanao. Ginamit sa pananaliksik ang kwalitatibong hermenyutikal na disenyo upang higit na maunawaan ang dinamiko at masalimuot na proseso ng interpretasyon ng mga kalahok. Sampung (10) mag-aaral ang napili sa pamamagitan ng purposive sampling batay sa kanilang kaugnay na karanasan at kakayahang magbigay ng masusing interpretasyon. Isinagawa ang pangangalap ng datos sa pamamagitan ng semi-structured interview at visual elicitation gamit ang mga piling larawan ng katutubong sining ng Mindanao. Sinuri ang mga nakalap na salaysay sa pamamagitan ng hermenyutikal na tematikong pagsusuri na nakabatay sa mahahalagang konsepto ni Gadamer, kabilang ang pre-understanding, historically effected consciousness, hermeneutic circle, at fusion of horizons. Lumitaw sa pag-aaral na nagsisimula ang pagbuo ng kahulugan sa masusing pagmamasid at paglalarawan ng mga elementong biswal, na sinusundan ng pagbibigay-interpretasyon sa mga simbolo, motibo, at representasyong pangkultura. Natuklasan ding may mahalagang impluwensiya ang dating kaalaman, personal na karanasan, kontekstong sosyokultural, at edukasyong pangwika sa paghubog ng interpretasyon ng mga mag-aaral. Sa huli, nabuo ang mas malalim na pag-unawa sa pamamagitan ng fusion of horizons, kung saan nagsasanib ang dating pananaw ng mga kalahok at ang historikal at kultural na kontekstong kinakatawan ng katutubong sining ng Mindanao. Ipinahihiwatig ng pag-aaral na ang katutubong sining ay nagsisilbing mahalagang tekstong pangkultura na nagpapalawak ng mapanuring pag-iisip, nagpapayaman sa interpretasyong hermenyutikal, at nagpapalalim sa paglikha ng kahulugan sa larangan ng edukasyong pangwika at panitikan.
