Policy Statement
The International Journal of Research on Multidisciplinary Studies (IJROMS) supports the open dissemination, preservation, and accessibility of scholarly research. The journal encourages authors to deposit and share their published and accepted manuscripts in institutional, subject-based, and public repositories in accordance with ethical and licensing standards.
Self-Archiving Policy
IJROMS allows authors to self-archive their work under the following conditions:
- Authors may archive the submitted version (pre-print), accepted manuscript (post-print), and published version, depending on repository policies
- The final published version may be shared in accordance with the journal’s open-access license
- Proper citation of the original publication in IJROMS must always be included
Permitted Repositories
Authors are encouraged to deposit their work in:
- Institutional repositories (e.g., university archives)
- Subject-based repositories
- Personal academic websites or profiles
- Open-access repositories (e.g., ResearchGate, Academia.edu, Zenodo, and similar platforms)
Versioning of Manuscripts
To ensure clarity and academic integrity:
- Pre-print: Original submitted manuscript before peer review
- Post-print: Final accepted manuscript after peer review, before journal formatting
- Published version: Final formatted version as published by IJROMS
Authors must clearly indicate the version when depositing in any repository.
Citation Requirement
When sharing or archiving any version of the manuscript, authors must:
- Provide full citation of the published article in IJROMS
- Include DOI or permanent link when available
- Acknowledge IJROMS as the original publisher
Copyright and Licensing Compliance
- Authors retain copyright of their work
- All published articles are distributed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0) license
- This allows sharing, distribution, and adaptation of the work with proper attribution
- No additional permission is required for archiving under the license terms
Publisher Archiving Policy
IJROMS ensures that:
- All published articles are permanently archived on the journal platform
- Articles are preserved in secure digital systems for long-term access
- Metadata and full-text versions are maintained for indexing and retrieval
- Backup systems are used to prevent data loss
Embargo Policy
- IJROMS does not impose an embargo period on published articles
- Authors may archive their work immediately after publication
- Any restrictions must comply with ethical and licensing requirements
Responsibility of Authors
Authors are responsible for:
- Ensuring correct version is uploaded to repositories
- Maintaining accurate citation details
- Complying with repository and institutional policies
- Avoiding misrepresentation of unpublished or revised versions
