The International Journal of Research on Multidisciplinary Studies (IJROMS) implements a rigorous peer review process to ensure the quality, validity, and integrity of all published research. All submitted manuscripts are evaluated fairly, objectively, and confidentially by qualified experts in the relevant field.

Type of Peer Review

IJROMS follows a double-blind peer review system, where:

  • The identities of authors are not disclosed to reviewers
  • The identities of reviewers are not disclosed to authors

This ensures objectivity, fairness, and impartial evaluation throughout the review process.

Purpose of Peer Review

The peer review process aims to:

  • Evaluate the originality and scientific quality of the manuscript
  • Assess the validity of research design, methodology, and analysis
  • Ensure clarity, coherence, and academic writing quality

Review Process

Each manuscript undergoes the following steps:

1. Initial Screening
The Editorial Office checks the manuscript for completeness, formatting, plagiarism, and compliance with journal scope and guidelines.

2. Editorial Assessment
The Editor-in-Chief or assigned editor evaluates the manuscript’s suitability for peer review.

3. Reviewer Assignment
At least two independent reviewers with relevant expertise are assigned to evaluate the manuscript.

4. Peer Review Evaluation
Reviewers assess the manuscript based on:

  • Originality and novelty
  • Methodology and research design
  • Data analysis and interpretation
  • Clarity and structure
  • Ethical compliance
  • Contribution to the field

5. Editorial Decision
Based on reviewer reports, the editorial team makes one of the following decisions:

  • Accept
  • Minor Revision
  • Major Revision
  • Reject

Confidentiality

  • All manuscripts under review are treated as confidential documents
  • Reviewers must not share, discuss, or use manuscript content for personal advantage
  • Unpublished information must not be used for any purpose outside the review process

Reviewer Responsibilities

Reviewers are expected to:

  • Accept assignments only within their area of expertise
  • Provide objective, constructive, and timely feedback
  • Identify relevant missing references or literature
  • Declare any conflict of interest before accepting a review
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times

Author Responsibilities

Authors are required to:

  • Respond to reviewer comments professionally and clearly
  • Revise manuscripts according to feedback within the given timeframe
  • Provide a detailed response letter explaining revisions made
  • Ensure ethical and academic integrity in all revisions

Editorial Responsibility

Editors are responsible for:

  • Ensuring fair and unbiased review assignments
  • Monitoring the quality and timeliness of reviews
  • Making final publication decisions based on reviewer recommendations and editorial judgment
  • Ensuring adherence to ethical publishing standards

Review Timeline

The standard review period is approximately 6–12 weeks, depending on:

  • Reviewer availability
  • Complexity of the manuscript
  • Author revision time

Ethical Standards in Peer Review

IJROMS strictly follows ethical publishing principles. Any form of misconduct such as:
