Policy Statement
The International Journal of Research on Multidisciplinary Studies (IJROMS) follows a structured and transparent publication process to ensure the timely, fair, and high-quality dissemination of scholarly research. All manuscripts undergo a systematic editorial workflow from submission to publication.
Overview of the Publication Process
The publication process consists of the following stages:
Stage 1: Initial Screening
- Conducted by the Editorial Office
- Checks for completeness, formatting, plagiarism, and compliance with journal scope and guidelines
- Non-compliant manuscripts may be returned for correction
Stage 2: Editorial Evaluation
- The Editor-in-Chief or assigned editor evaluates the manuscript’s relevance, originality, and suitability for peer review
- Manuscripts outside the journal scope may be rejected at this stage
Stage 3: Peer Review Process
- Manuscripts are subjected to a double-blind peer review
- At least two independent experts evaluate the manuscript
- Reviewers assess quality, methodology, originality, ethics, and contribution
Stage 4: Revision by Authors
- Authors revise the manuscript based on reviewer feedback
- A response letter addressing all comments must be submitted
- Additional review may be conducted for major revisions
Stage 5: Final Editorial Decision
- The Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision based on reviewer reports and revisions
- Possible outcomes include acceptance, minor revision, major revision, or rejection
Stage 6: Copyediting and Production
- Accepted manuscripts undergo copyediting, formatting, and proofreading
- DOI is assigned and metadata is prepared
- Final proof is sent to authors for approval
Stage 7: Online Publication
- The final article is published online in the journal website
- The article becomes freely accessible under open-access policy
- Indexing and archiving processes are completed

The standard timeline from submission to publication is:
- Initial Screening: 2–5 days
- Editorial Evaluation: 1–2 weeks
- Peer Review: 2–4 weeks
- Author Revision: 2–4 weeks (depending on revision level)
- Final Decision: 3–7 days
- Production and Publication: 1–2 weeks
