Article Retraction Policy

Policy Statement
The International Journal of Research on Multidisciplinary Studies (IJROMS) is committed to maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the scholarly record. Retraction is applied when published articles are found to contain serious issues that invalidate the research findings or violate ethical publishing standards.

IJROMS follows internationally accepted publishing standards to ensure transparency, accountability, and integrity in all retraction decisions.

  • Significant overlap with previously published work without proper citation or permission

3. Major Scientific Errors

  • Serious errors in methodology, analysis, or interpretation that invalidate the findings
  • Results that cannot be verified or reproduced due to major flaws

4. Ethical or Legal Violations

  • Copyright infringement or intellectual property issues
  • Undisclosed conflicts of interest affecting the study
  • Legal issues involving privacy, defamation, or ethical approval violations

5. Authorship Issues

  • Misrepresentation of authorship or contributor roles
  • Unauthorized submission of manuscripts
  • Serious disputes affecting ownership or validity of the work

Retraction Process

Step 1: Initial Assessment
Concerns are received and reviewed by the Editorial Board.

Step 2: Author Notification
The corresponding author is informed and given the opportunity to respond.

Step 3: Further Evaluation
Additional clarification may be requested from authors or institutions if needed.

Step 4: Editorial Decision
The Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision based on available evidence.

Step 5: Retraction Notice

Retraction Notice Requirements
All retraction notices must:

  • Clearly identify the retracted article
  • State the reason for retraction
  • Indicate who is initiating the retraction (author or editor)
  • Remain permanently accessible
  • Be labeled clearly as “RETRACTED ARTICLE”
