Policy Statement
The International Journal of Research on Multidisciplinary Studies (IJROMS) is committed to maintaining transparency, integrity, and trust in scholarly publishing. All participants in the publication process, including authors, editors, and reviewers, are required to disclose any conflicts of interest that may influence the research, evaluation, or publication of a manuscript.
Definition of Conflict of Interest
A conflict of interest exists when personal, financial, professional, or institutional relationships could influence or appear to influence the objectivity, integrity, or interpretation of research and editorial decisions.
Conflicts of interest may be actual, potential, or perceived.
Author Responsibilities
Authors must:
- Disclose any financial support, funding sources, or sponsorship related to the research
- Declare any personal or professional relationships that may influence the study
- Identify affiliations or interests that could affect the interpretation of results
- Include a conflict of interest statement in the manuscript
If no conflict exists, authors must clearly state:
“The authors declare no conflict of interest.”
Failure to disclose relevant conflicts may result in rejection, correction, or retraction of the article.
Reviewer Responsibilities
Reviewers must:
- Disclose any conflicts of interest before accepting a review assignment
- Decline the review if they cannot provide an objective and unbiased evaluation
- Avoid reviewing manuscripts where there is a personal, professional, or institutional connection with the authors
- Maintain confidentiality and impartiality throughout the review process
Editor Responsibilities
Editors must:
- Recuse themselves from handling manuscripts where a conflict of interest exists
- Assign alternative editors or reviewers when necessary
- Ensure that editorial decisions are based solely on academic merit and relevance
- Avoid any influence from personal, financial, or institutional interests
Disclosure and Transparency
- All disclosed conflicts of interest will be reviewed by the Editorial Board
- Relevant disclosures will be published alongside the article when necessary
- Transparency in disclosure is required to maintain trust in the publication process
Management of Conflicts
When a conflict of interest is identified:
- Appropriate measures will be taken to ensure an unbiased review and decision-making process
- Alternative reviewers or editors may be assigned
- Additional review or verification may be conducted
Non-Disclosure and Violations
Failure to disclose conflicts of interest may result in:
- Rejection of the manuscript
- Withdrawal of the submission
- Retraction of the published article
- Restrictions on future submissions
