For Reviewers

The International Journal of Research on Multidisciplinary Studies (IJROMS) values the important role of peer reviewers in maintaining the quality, credibility, integrity, and academic standards of scholarly publishing. Reviewers serve as essential contributors to the advancement of knowledge by providing objective, constructive, and expert evaluations of submitted manuscripts.

IJROMS follows a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure fairness, confidentiality, transparency, and impartiality in the evaluation of scholarly work. The identities of both authors and reviewers are kept anonymous throughout the review process.

Role and Responsibilities of Reviewers

Reviewers are expected to evaluate manuscripts professionally, objectively, and ethically based on the scholarly merit and quality of the research. Reviews should help editors make informed publication decisions while also assisting authors in improving their manuscripts.

Reviewers are expected to:

  • Provide fair, unbiased, and constructive evaluations
  • Assess the originality, relevance, clarity, and scholarly contribution of the manuscript
  • Evaluate the appropriateness of the research methodology, analysis, and conclusions
  • Identify ethical concerns, plagiarism, citation issues, or possible research misconduct
  • Maintain confidentiality of all manuscript information and review materials
  • Avoid using unpublished information for personal or professional advantage
  • Submit reviews within the assigned review period
  • Declare any conflict of interest that may affect the objectivity of the review

Review Criteria

Manuscripts submitted to IJROMS are evaluated based on the following criteria:

  • Originality and contribution to knowledge
  • Relevance to the aims and scope of the journal
  • Clarity and organization of the manuscript
  • Research design and methodological rigor
  • Accuracy of data analysis and interpretation
  • Quality of literature review and references
  • Ethical compliance and academic integrity
  • Grammar, academic writing quality, and overall presentation

Reviewers are encouraged to provide clear, evidence-based, respectful, and detailed comments that may help authors improve the quality of their work.

Confidentiality and Ethical Standards

All manuscripts received for review are confidential documents and must not be shared, discussed, copied, or distributed without authorization from the editorial office. Reviewers must respect the confidentiality of the peer review process and uphold the highest standards of academic integrity and professional ethics.

Reviewers should immediately notify the editorial office if they identify:

  • Plagiarism or substantial similarity with published works
  • Data fabrication or falsification
  • Duplicate or redundant publication
  • Ethical concerns involving human or animal subjects
  • Undisclosed conflicts of interest
  • Citation manipulation or unethical research practices

IJROMS follows internationally recognized publication ethics and peer review standards.

Conflict of Interest

Reviewers should decline review invitations if they have any personal, professional, institutional, or financial conflict of interest with the authors, research, or sponsoring organizations that may influence their objectivity.

Professional Conduct

Reviewers are expected to maintain professionalism, courtesy, and respect in all review comments and communications. Criticism should be constructive, scholarly, and directed toward improving the manuscript rather than criticizing the author personally.
