Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

The International Journal of Research on Multidisciplinary Studies (IJROMS) is an open-access, peer-reviewed, and refereed international journal committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity, research quality, and ethical publishing practices. Authors submitting manuscripts to IJROMS must comply with the following guidelines, aligned with internationally recognized standards, including the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) principles.

Ensure that all required files, information, and supporting documents are fully prepared and properly organized in accordance with internationally accepted academic publishing standards. This includes compliance with ethical requirements, complete and accurate manuscript components, correct formatting, and readiness for editorial and peer review evaluation to ensure a smooth and efficient submission process.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

  1. Blind Manuscript (Anonymous File)
  • Must NOT contain author names
  • Must NOT include affiliations, acknowledgments, or identifiers
  • Must include:
    Title
    Abstract
    Keywords
    Main text (Introduction, Methodology, Results, Discussion, Conclusion)
    References
  1. Title Page (Separate File)
    Must include:
  • Full author names (correct order)
  • Complete institutional affiliations (department, institution, country)
  • Corresponding author details (email, contact number if required)
  • ORCID iDs for all authors (strongly required for academic traceability)
  • Contribution statement (if applicable)
  1. Figures and Tables
  • High-resolution images (minimum 300 DPI for figures)
  • Editable tables (Word or Excel format if required)
  • Proper numbering and captions
  • Must be cited in the manuscript text
  1. Supplementary Materials (if applicable)
  • Research instruments (questionnaires, interview guides)
  • Ethical clearance or approval documents
  • Raw or processed datasets (if required)
  • Additional analysis or appendices

ACADEMIC AND ETHICAL COMPLIANCE REQUIREMENTS

To meet international publishing and indexing expectations, ensure the following:

Research Integrity

  • Manuscript must be original and unpublished
  • No simultaneous submission to other journals
  • No plagiarism or self-plagiarism beyond acceptable limits

Ethical Standards

  • Ethical clearance for studies involving humans
  • Informed consent when applicable
  • Proper data handling and confidentiality compliance

Authorship Standards

  • All listed authors must have contributed significantly
  • Author order must be agreed upon before submission
  • No ghost, guest, or honorary authorship

Referencing Standards

  • Use updated and credible academic sources (preferably recent studies)
  • Include DOI links whenever available
  • Ensure consistency in citation style throughout the manuscript

Language and Writing Quality

  • Clear, formal academic English
  • No informal expressions or grammatical inconsistencies
  • Logical flow of arguments and coherent structure

Manuscript Formatting

  • Follow the journal’s prescribed formatting template strictly
  • Use standard fonts (e.g., Times New Roman or equivalent)
  • Proper spacing and consistent headings
  • Uniform citation style across the document

File Naming Convention

  • Blind Manuscript: Manuscript_Blind.docx
  • Title Page: TitlePage_Author.docx
  • Figures: Figure1, Figure2, etc.
  • Tables: Table1, Table2, etc.

STEP-BY-STEP ONLINE SUBMISSION PROCESS

STEP 1: ACCOUNT REGISTRATION

  • Access the journal submission platform
  • Click “Register”
  • Fill in complete and accurate information:
    Full legal name
    Active email address
    Institutional affiliation
    Country
    ORCID iD
  • Select role as Author
  • Confirm registration via email link

STEP 2: PROFILE COMPLETION
After login:

  • Complete profile information fully
  • Add institutional affiliation (department and university)
  • Add ORCID iD
  • Provide short academic biography (optional but recommended)
    Incomplete profiles may delay editorial processing.

STEP 3: START SUBMISSION

  • Click “New Submission”
  • Select article type (e.g., Research Article, Review Article)
  • Choose appropriate journal section if applicable

STEP 4: SUBMISSION CHECKLIST CONFIRMATION
You must confirm the following:

  • Manuscript is original and not previously published
  • Manuscript is not under review elsewhere
  • File follows required formatting guidelines
  • Blind manuscript is properly prepared
  • References contain complete bibliographic details and DOIs when available

STEP 5: FILE UPLOAD PROCESS

STEP 6: METADATA ENTRY (CRITICAL FOR INDEXING QUALITY)

Enter accurate metadata:

Title

  • Must exactly match manuscript title

Abstract

  • Clear, structured summary (no formatting errors)

Keywords

  • 3 to 5 keywords only
  • Use standardized academic terms

Authors

  • Correct order of all authors
  • Full names (no abbreviations)
  • Institutional affiliation for each author
  • Email addresses
  • ORCID iDs

Additional Information

  • Funding information (if applicable)
  • Conflict of interest declaration
  • Acknowledgments (if not in blind manuscript)

STEP 7: FINAL REVIEW AND SUBMISSION

  • Carefully review all uploaded files
  • Verify metadata accuracy
  • Click “Finish Submission”
  • Wait for confirmation email

POST-SUBMISSION EDITORIAL PROCESS

STAGE 1: TECHNICAL SCREENING (2–5 DAYS)
Checked by editorial office:
